As September is right around the corner, what are you doing to savor the last bit of summer sun? Well at Carv, our team and community is on full throttle building in the ecosystem. Some of our team members attended LA Tech week, and other web3 game conferences in parts of Asia. Boy, the energy felt and feedback recieved were incredible, which strengthened our belief in Carv's mission to build a gamer-owned identity.
Our newsletter has now more than 3k+ subscribers! Carv’s bi-weekly newsletter will highlight the most critical events and development surrounding Carv’s ecosystem. We will also share our insights and fun finds in the rapidly evolving GameFi ecosystem. From the Community
From day one, Carv has been building towards a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) with the mission of building a player-owned gaming identity. So what’s better than involving the community from the start, for the community, loved by the community?
It's been a little over one month since we initiated Carv's Guardians, a batch of passionate builders from the Carv community.
Thanks to our Priests (community managers), our discord now has Carv Daily News Digest for each language channel providing carvers news update of the ever-changing world of crypto and GameFi landscape.
Our Paladins (content creation) also delivered! In these two weeks, they've created two AMA recaps that logs Carv's collaboration and expanding influences.
Our Rogues (graphic designers & videos creators) came up with some astonishing masterpieces, like the art of Carv, and some alternative badge designs.
Not to mention warlocks and hunters, they all delivered much appreciated contributions and help spread out the mission and vision of Carv.
Overall, there are 38 guardians received EXP for their contributions in 2 weeks' span, thank every guardians that put the efforts into the community!

Partnerships and Events

For the past two weeks, we've progressed a lot as we've reached official partnerships with Ultiverse , BovineVerse, Drawshop Kingdom Reverse, Heroes Lineage, and Thunder Lands!

AMAs
We had 2 AMAs with Drawshop Kingdom Reverse and Ultiverse.
Drawshop Kingdom Reverse's director Tailer shared some exciting details about the upcoming alpha launch of DKR in Carv Discord channel! More than 1800 carvers stay tuned! If you missed it, read our AMA recap!
Ultiverse BD lead Cryptoxaxa and Host Moonlight came to Carv Twitter Space to reveal the ambitious vision of Ultiverse and shared some of Ultiverse major milestones. Game nights
We had 2 Game nights with Thunder Lands BovineVerse in the past two weeks!
Seems difficult to meet the dragon in Thunder Lands Clicker, but many carvers did find it eventually after spending hours and hours in the game! More than 64 carvers did it! Congrats to all 64 dragon slayers!
Giveaways
We did a quick giveaway with Link3 for 10 beta personal profile. 500+ Web3 degens desires to build their on-chain identity. Let's see how creative carvers could be, and which NFT badge they want to display on their dashboard!
Communities
Besides our regular Q&As on every Monday and Thursday, we held our third fan-art Wednesday! This week's theme is to Share your blockchain gaming experience that made you lose money the most!
Some really sad stories:
I have lost a lot of money over the years, but STEPN is the one that impressed me the most. I lost over 500 SOL which is over 70% of all my funds. It wasn't until after the loss that I realized STEPN's model was unsustainable. If no new people come in, it will end.

Product & Tech Update
Carv has been hard at work creating the best web3 experience for our users and partners. Although the ecosystem constantly evolves, staying true to our vision is something Carv prides itself on. With that in mind, we are excited to share some of our significant upgrades.
Guardian Home Page
We've launched a special home page for all the Carv guardians and guardians-to-be out there. Carvers can learn more about the Guardian Program, the different roles available and their respective responsibilities. You can also find the link to apply. For guardians, this is the place where they can claim their quest EXP, track their progress and most importantly, carv their guardian SBT badges!
Game Review Alpha Test Phase II
We've seen a lot of enthusiasm from carvers toward our new SBT-based review feature and eagerness to share their experience. During Phase II of alpha test, all carvers who have played the game (i.e., with transaction history of game tokens or game NFTs) are invited to post reviews for that game.
App Stability Enhancement
Providing the best user experience has always been one of our top priorities. To that end, we've made some major efforts to improve the stability of our app and minimize occurrences of app crashing. Our site is now more robust against high traffic and unstable network conditions.
Moving into September, we're rolling out a new page where carvers can discover quality games based on their interests and past gaming experiences. Stay tuned!
Game Discovery & Listing
With so many games out there, it’s practically impossible for one to try them all. In comes Carv’s Weekly Game Discovery. This week, we took a dive into the Immutable ecosystem, and summarized top 5 blockchain games on Immutable X, a layer 2 blockchain.
Carv Research
Carv aims to be the enabler and buildr for the entire gaming ecosystem spanning both web2 and web3. Occasionally we will share our thoughts on different stakeholders in the GameFi ecosystem. We see these as conversation starters to spark great discussion.
What’s still cooking: analysis of marketplaces in the gaming verticals (web3 focused). Make sure to follow our Medium page to keep up to date.
Crypto Snacks
[Analysis] At times taking a step back and have that 3000 foot view can be really helpful, so this week we are sharing with you the GameFi Industry Report co-created by CoinMarketCap and Footprint Analytics.
The report delves into the performance of the nascent GameFi industry from January to July 2022 — and examine which chains, tokens and games to watch in H2 2022.
Many games to watch mentioned in the report e.g., Illuvium, Phantom Galaxies, and Bigtime, are ones we are paying close attention to or already partners of Carv!
Without spilling too much beans, the report's final take on chain to watch was definately interesting and logically sound. Read for yourself!
