CARV X AMA Recap: About SOUL Drop, Node Sale, and MORE we can do together

After announcing the CARV Node Launch plan on April 26th, we received numerous pieces of feedback from CARVers. We are deeply grateful for your support and truly value your input. To address as many of your questions as possible, we conducted AMAs on Discord and Twitter on April 28th and 29th, focusing on both CARV and the Node.

Here’s a recap of the topics that our community was most interested in:

Q1: I’ve been contributing to the SOUL Drop for several months and noticed CARV is launching a new node. Will this affect my SOUL Drop rewards? Also, could you provide details on the specific rewards for SOUL Drop?

1. Real CARVers who have been participating in SOUL Drop will be rewarded with $CARV.

2. Nodes’ token allocation is for protocol node operators, including the hardware node run by partners and verifier node run by individuals; while Community token allocation is for CARV contributors. These are two different independent token allocation pools (infra&community). The node launch and the token allocation for nodes will not and will never influence the token allocation pool for the airdrop for community.

3. Among all the contributions to the CARV ecosystem, contributions to SOUL Drop is very important for building the user-owned internet.

Q2: What is the exchange rate of SOUL to CARV? When can CARV disclose the exchange rate?

First of all, we’d like to clarify that the airdrop will be a percentage of $CARV’s total supply, distributed to core community contributors and partners who have significantly accelerated CARV’s growth and milestones.

1. Along with other benchmarks, real SOUL Drop users are definitely part of our core contributors and will get $CARV airdrop. SOUL Drop participants are one of the most important contributors, with proof of contribution on chain. So as quite a few other critical contributions hitting milestones before as well, CARV ID, .play name service holders, and Battle Pass critical levels, Dragon Treasure, OG SBT holders, etc. We’ve come a long way, and have also hit so many milestones together.

2. The list of contributors is still growing and has not been finalized. Real CARVers will be well-rewarded. And there will be a snapshot right before TGE. Exchanges view positively on activities. At the same time, the multiple chains allow for “one stone, multiple birds” to optimize for airdrops from multiple ecosystems.

Q3: What is the detailed timeline and key events for the CARV Node sales?

1. Whitelist Node Sale Launch: June 3rd, 2024, at 10 AM UTC+0 (available for 2 days)

2. Public Node Sale Launch: June 5th, 2024, at 10 AM UTC+0

Q4: What’s the token allocation for community?

1. 50% allocation is to node & community, 9% is to ecosystem and partners, 4% for liquidity, these places are where airdrops can come from.

2. In addition to the CARV token incentive, community participation in the game will also receive the token airdrop, NFT and other rewards, as well as the passive benefits of data, which will soon have more proportion.

3. It is not able to reveal the details of token allocation and airdrop yet, same as other projects. Details of token allocation will be revealed upon TGE.

Q5: Why is CARV starting node launch now?

CARV’s mission is to enable users to own, control, and monetize their data in a privacy-preserving way. This requires TEE clusters in data layer which needs decentralization to ensure scalability. As planned from 2022 in the CARV Protocol roadmap, 2024 is the time to pursue further decentralization with 3rd party nodes integration and operations. Upon this, CARV can further scale, create more value, process more data, and return more revenue back to the users.

Q6: How can CARVers benefit from CARV node launch?

The airdrop allocation for community is based on and not limited to; dragon treasure holders, guardians, SBT holders, SOUL Drop participants and other contributors remain the same as before AND after the announcement of node decentralization. With the increased utility of CARV nodes, CARV can further generate more revenue (currently already at 1M MRR) with a more scalable and decentralized protocol, and expecting to reach higher FDV as both tier 1 application and infra project.

NOTE: Node is a separate component in tokenomics, and is expected to bring CARV to a more scalable and decentralized network with higher FDV which does NOT affect SOUL Drop rewards

Q7: What is the reward for node operators?

CARV is dedicating 25% of the total token supply to node verifiers, with a release model reducing by 25% every 6 months, it is expected that about 50% of tokens will be released in the first year alone.
