What were you doing during the Merge? Personally, I was admiring Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, for donating his company for environmental causes! Both news of ETH's change from PoW to PoS and Patagonia's IPO (P for purpose) were music to ears, making the world a better place bit by bit.

From the Community
We believe in collective efforts, and our guardians (Carv's community of ambassadors) constantly remind us that together we can do so much!
In the two weeks spans, 32 guardians have received EXP for his or her contributions to the community and their contributions are nothing but extraordinary! Since last week, our Paladins (content creators) started to write our Carv Discovery post which focuses on exploring and sharing those incredible games ranging from web2 to web3. It is our first cross-role team project leading and organizing by guardians. The final post is quite informative and organic. It will be a great start of our UGC content.
Not mention to our beloved Priest (community managers), by digesting and delivering our project updates to our community in time and on point. What's in the works: hosting local meet-ups and game nights. After all, we are a community for gamers, it's the vast endless gamers' energy drives us to create, to share. The same spirit of love and caring flows in our guardians to co-BUIDL and grow with us.
Product & Tech Update
CARV has been hard at work creating the best web3 experience for our users and partners. Although the ecosystem constantly evolves, staying true to our vision is something CARV prides itself on. With that in mind, we are excited to share some of our significant upgrades.
Game Discovery
We have a brand new design and visual of the Games page. For all the gamers out there, this is THE place for you to discover quality games and start your journey. You can find a variety of metrics to evaluate a game. Check out our specially curated game collection and find games that are top rated/trending/upcoming, etc.
Game Directory
As CARV integrates more games into the platform, the need for a directory of all games becomes stronger. Now you can view all the games in the new Game Directory. You can filter the games by genres, chains, development status and many more to find exactly what you're looking for.
Game Overview
As you know, each listed game on CARV is made of many components, namely market and social insights, reviews, your game portfolio, achievement badges, leaderboard. We've created a new Overview page that takes you through the different components with a few scrolls.
Also added are more gameplay screenshots and videos to give you a clearer sense of the game!
New Achievement Badge System
We've introduced our new achievement badge system. The main difference is that your badge can be upgraded now. What does it mean, right? Let me explain this a little further.
Previously, when you unlock a new level badge, say, Hey Amigo! - II, you can carv this badge into an SBT while also keeping your Hey Amigo! - I SBT in your wallet. So you end up with 2 Hey Amigo! SBTs. Now, when you unlock a higher level badge and carv it, you will upgrade your existing current level badge SBT to get this new one (the current existing SBT will be burned). So you end up with only 1 SBT now (the higher level one).
We think this new system will streamline your SBT collection and bring focus to the most important parts of your gaming identity, by reducing the number of redundant badges.

For the past three weeks, we've progressed a lot as we've reached official partnerships with E4C: Final Salvation, Avocado DAO, Metaforest, OP games, and Penguin Karts!
We are fully aware of the power of collaboration in Web3 to push the ongoing progress within the gaming vertical to mass adoption. More big news will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
Events Highlights
AMAs
We had 3 AMAs with E4C: Final Salvation, Avocado DAO and Metaforest.
On September 1st, 2022, John, the founder of Ambrus Studio, joined our Carv Discord and co-hosted an AMA with Charles. At the AMA, John revealed a lot about Ambru Studio’s first game, E4C, and brought 5 Freemint NFTs and 20 E4C Community Badges to Carv community members.
1967 carvers are hyped about this AMA with the tease of the game and the well-designed NFT. We will be having more events with E4C soon. Stay tuned!
Avocado DAO's co-founder/CEO Brendan shared his personal experience, Avocado DAO's current status, mission and vision during AMA. He kindly answered questions from carvers, including Avocado DAO's investing strategy into a project, how AVG and Carv could collab in the future, and the future of Web3 games.
Also Avocado DAO is seeking talented Chinese community managers to help in AVG's community. Bravo CARVers! We are making some impact!
More than 2138 carvers tuned in, and 1773 carvers owned the Avocado DAO x CARV AMA badge.

Old Friends
Some old friends of CARV, Port 3 and The Dapp List, are hosting some cool events with CARV.
To celebrate Soquest's launch, CARV launch a badge giveaway campaign on Sograph with 20.71k entries, which is one of the most popular campaigns on Sograph so far.
The Dapp List is revamping its website. It's a new way to explore Web3. They hosted a virtual party in Dencentral Games. Spot the frogs, play poker, everybody had a blast!
