Baldur's Gate 3 is Live on Steam
Baldur's Gate III is a role-playing video game that offers both a single-player and cooperative multiplayer element. Players can create one or more characters and form a party along with computer-generated characters to explore the game's story.
Since its release on August 3rd, it has achieved 700,000 concurrent players, making it the third most-played game and also broken into the top 10 peak player counts in Steam history.

nWay and Animoca Brands to launch ‘Wreck League’ in collaboration with Yuga Labs
nWay, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, announced the release of Wreck League, a Web3-powered multiplayer fighting game allowing players to create their own Mechs and compete in real-time battles. It offers over 1.5 quadrillion unique Mech combinations through NFTs. The game will have a Web2 free-to-play version alongside the Web3 version, fostering a symbiotic relationship between both gaming communities. Mech creators will earn from in-game purchases, promoting true digital asset ownership. Wreck League aims to revolutionize esports, combining craftsmanship, competition, and Web3 innovation in a dynamic gaming experience.
Gaming Giant Bandai Namco Launches AI Virtual Pet NFT Game: RYUZO with Oasys
Bandai Namco has partnered with blockchain network Oasys to create RYUZO, an AI-powered virtual pet game featuring NFT-based digital creatures called RYU. Players hatch NFT eggs and nurture the RYU, which transforms into a soulbound token. The game is similar to Tamagotchi, with the creatures developing personalities and abilities through AI. Bandai Namco Research co-developed RYUZO, and Ubisoft is also developing a game on Oasys. Bandai Namco previously revealed NFT projects and plans for a Gundam anime franchise-based metaverse experience. The Oasyx app is now live, and collaborations with notable game projects are expected.
Play to Earn with Life Beyond GameOn Event
Life Beyond introduces the GameOn event, offering prizes to players who try the Trials. Participants earn raffle entries by logging in and attempting the challenges throughout August. The rewards include an Otherside deed, valued at over $1100 USD. The Mac client has been released, and partnerships and token development are planned for the future. Founder Key owners will receive a land drop later this year. Life Beyond is a free-to-play FPS-style MMORPG with play-to-earn features set in an alien world.

Amazon Prime Is Giving Out Free NFTs for This Polygon Game, Mojo Melee
Mojo Melee, an NFT game on Polygon, partners with Amazon Prime, giving Prime subscribers free NFTs and in-game currency. The deal lasts six months, offering monthly drops of in-game NFTs. Mojo Melee is a casual auto battler game, and the Amazon Prime partnership aims to attract and engage players with exclusive rewards. Amazon Prime Gaming previously partnered with Mythical Games for NFT promotions. Amazon is also reportedly exploring its own NFT marketplace.
Nyan Heroes and Razer Team Up, Marking an Exciting New Chapter
Nyan Heroes, a free-to-play hero shooter, announces a collaboration with Razer, the leading gaming lifestyle brand, to bridge the gap between gaming and Web3 technologies. Pre-alpha sign-ups are open for the game, which features a visual transformation, shifting from cyberpunk to an enchanting, multiplayer adventure. Conductive.ai is disrupting the gaming industry with its platform that aims to boost player lifetime value (LTV) and retention rates by rewarding gameplay with stablecoin rewards. The platform provides player engagement tools, analytics, and easy Web3 onboarding without requiring technical knowledge. It addresses the declining revenue in mobile gaming by helping developers convert players into recurring paying customers. Sandbox Network and Immutable: Meta Toy DragonZ SAGA
Sandbox Network, a Korean web3 game studio, launches Meta Toy DragonZ SAGA, a free-to-play mobile RPG on Immutable zkEVM blockchain. Players collect Toy Dragons, and battle wind-up toys, and build towns in PvP and PvE gameplay. The game features over 300 dragon characters and targets both web2 and new RPG enthusiasts. Sandbox Network raised over $70M in Series D funding and collaborates with content creators. They chose Immutable zkEVM for its gaming-focused vertical and user experience. Pre-registration is open, and the open beta is released in September.
WAGMI Games Launches WAGMI Defense Google Play Beta! WAGMI Games celebrates its milestone as one of the few web3 gaming franchises with an actual game on the Google Play Store. Their web3 app allows players to buy in-game NFTs with FIAT using credit cards or Paypal, eliminating the need for external wallets. The WAGMI Defense Closed Beta has launched, with up to 5,000 lucky players initially invited. In-game purchases contribute to token and Genesis NFT rewards utility. The game's revenue engines are now active, marking a community-powered success without external funding.
