Yuga Labs Announced the Release of Legends of the Mara Open Beta

Yuga Labs, the creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club, announced an open beta for Legends of the Mara (LotM) game, part of the Otherside metaverse. LotM is a 2D strategy game linked to the 3D Otherside universe. Players evolve Maras into Kodamaras, protect virtual land, and explore diverse game elements. All Otherdeed NFT landholders can claim a Vessel, which can become a Mara and evolve into a Kodamara. Maras' evolution depends on constellations and land traits. LotM's open beta will offer rewards and expand in the future.

Pre-register for MetalCore Open Beta

Pre-register for MetalCore's open beta to receive a free in-game vehicle. The web3-enabled game combines elements of Planetside and Battlefield, featuring sci-fi-themed FPS battles with vehicles and infantry combat. There will be playtests before the open beta, aiming to enhance web3 gaming with tech updates from Immutable. MetalCore supports faction-based combat with up to 100 players per side, crafting, and a Content Creator's program. It's currently in alpha testing and offers free-to-play options, with future integrations with Immutable X.

Fableborne Went Live with its Primordials Tournament

Fableborne is hosting a tournament, offering chances to win discounted or free mint slots for their limited-edition Primordials NFT collection. The top 100 players will receive mint discounts, with ranks 41-100 enjoying 25% off, and the top 3 players earning a free mint slot. Additionally, the tournament introduces game updates, including customizable island shapes, a new player progression system, daily win bonuses, and the ability to watch attack replays.

Axie Infinity introduces the first-ever Lunacian Badges

Axie Infinity introduces Lunacian Badges, celebrating player achievements like owning specific Axies and attending events. While some badges are dynamic and tied to asset ownership, others, like AxieCon and Axie Contributor badges, are non-transferable ERC-1155 tokens. Users can display up to five badges on their profiles, and potential future benefits are anticipated. Requests for missing badges can be submitted before the September 5th deadline.

Big Time Releases Major Patch

Big Time's Patch 0.27 introduces a major update, resetting player data. It enhances adventures with visual updates and new content like boss monsters and a Benjamin Franklin questline. Character classes get new abilities, and the game adds Nightmare dungeons for greater challenges. Other improvements include new objectives, interface changes, and a larger minimap. Big Time is a fantasy MMORPG in early access, offering instanced adventures, multiple classes, and NFT item customization. Access is via passes or owning SPACE NFTs.

Upland Totem Mystery Pass Sale: Chapter 1, The Jungle’s Call to Adventure

The Totem Mystery Pass Sale of Upland has been postponed by one day, with registration starting on September 4th at 8 AM PT, and the sale on September 5th at 9 AM PT. The sale allows players to buy passes, exchangeable for Totems when manufacturing is complete. Each Totem has a minimum of three life cycles, and additional cycles may be added by the Upland team. LHU's Public Playtest is LIVE

Legendary Heroes: Unchained, a turn-based card blockchain RPG, is in public alpha testing until September 5th. The "Combat 2.0" update introduces a strategic battle system, the ability to upgrade heroes, and a new storyline with branching paths. Players can now select card Heroes, target enemies, and use special moves. A starter dungeon acts as a tutorial, offering insights into the game's narrative. Climbing the leaderboards during the alpha test offers exclusive rewards. Previous closed alphas took place in June and July.
